Tusk calls on Abe to finalise EU-Japan free-trade agreement by December

European Council President Donald Tusk has congratulated Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on his re-election in the general election in Japan on Sunday 22 October and looks forward to continuing the “successful cooperation” between the EU and Japan and to taking forward “our common agenda for free and fair trade and a rules-based international order”.
