Macron wants to push EU to take account of sensitivities in opening of trade

At the European Council on 19 and 20 October, French President Emmanuel Macron will stress to his counterparts the need to take account of the concerns of citizens over free-trade agreements between the EU and third countries and to protect sensitive sectors in negotiations on such agreements.
