CONCORD warns EU will need 30 years to really allocate 0.7% of GNI to development assistance

According to the annual Aidwatch report published on Tuesday 17 October by the biggest relief and development NGO network CONCORD, taking into account current trends in the artificial inflation of the EU member states’ official development assistance (ODA), it is quite possible it will be necessary to wait until 2052 to see the EU reach the target it has set itself of collectively allocating 0.7% of its GNI to ODA.
