Volkswagen's reply to joint letter from Commission and consumer authorities on Dieselgate

10/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – Asked on 7 September to reply within one month to the letter that was sent by the national consumer protection authorities and European Commissioner for Consumers Vera Jourovà, the head of Volkswagen, Matthias Müller "replied" on Monday evening, 9 October.  He had been asked to confirm that the cars with cheat engines would be 'repaired' by autumn 2017 and that the demands made on behalf of the duped European consumers would be met (see EUROPE 11857)....
