EU allocates €25,000 in emergency aid to Dominica after devastation by Hurricane Maria

On Wednesday 27 September, the European Commission announced that in solidarity with Dominica, which has been devastated by Hurricane Maria, the European Union is mobilising €250,000 in emergency humanitarian aid for the most destitute people on this Caribbean island.

This initial aid is financed by the budget of the Commission's humanitarian aid and civil protection office, ECHO, and will help cover the victims' basic needs by channelling emergency products – survival kits, water,...
