Automobile industry thinks review of CO2 emission targets is necessary in 2025

The organisation representing the European automobile industry, the ACEA has set itself a 20% CO2 emissions reduction target by 2030 compared to the 2021 level target. Nonetheless, this comes with a safeguard and the organisation is proposing to introduce a midterm review for the objectives. Erik Jonnaert, the Secretary General of the ACEA explained the reasons for this decision to a press briefing on Wednesday 27 September.
