European Parliament environment committee objects to criteria helping to define endocrine disruptors

On Thursday 28 September, the European Parliament environment and public health committee adopted a draft resolution opposing the criteria that helps define “endocrine disruptors” (see EUROPE 11866).

In total, 36 MEPs out of 62 supported the report prepared by Bas Eickhout (Greens/ EFA, Netherlands) and Jytte Guteland (S&D, Sweden). The final text will have to obtain the support of the 376 MEPs during the plenary session on 4 October if it is to be deemed adopted.
