EU calls on new government to work on reforms immediately

11/09/2017 (Agence Europe)On Monday 11 September, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service, Maja Kocijancic, called on the new government in Kosovo to work immediately on implementing the necessary reforms for the country's economy and rule of law.  She added that Kosovo should work on the liberalisation of visas, especially as regards the border agreement with Montenegro, and with Serbia for there to be a qualitative leap into the dialogue on the normalisation of relations.  "Kosovo has no time to lose", she stated. Three months after the parliamentary elections, the Kosovan parliament appointed former guerilla commander, Ramush Haradinaj, as the country's prime minister on Saturday 9 September.   Serbia considers him a war criminal.  (CG)
