Airline passenger compensation depends on radial distance between cities of departure and arrival

In a ruling delivered on Thursday 7 September (C-559/16), the European Court of Justice decided that the compensation payable to passengers in the event of cancellation or long delay of a connecting flight must be calculated according to the radial distance between the departure and arrival airports.
