Ahead of the third round of negotiations in Brussels next week for an EU-Indonesia free trade agreement, the NGO Indonesia for Global Justice, think-tank Transnational Institute, and centre for research on multinational corporations SOMO published an alarming report on Thursday 7 September about the threat of such an agreement for human rights in Indonesia. The report urges both the EU and Indonesia to conduct an impact assessment on human rights in order to bring clarity to the talks.
