The own-initiative report by Olle Ludvigsson (S&D, Sweden) on the Commission's action plan on retail financial services (see EUROPE 18850) earned a mixed welcome from the other political groups, at an initial exchange of views at the economic and monetary affairs committee of the European Parliament on Wednesday 30 August.
