Commission orders Spain to recover €5.8 million from Iberpotash

On Thursday 31 August, the European Commission ordered Spain to recover the amount of €5.8 million unduly granted to the company Iberpotash S.A., which is active in the sector of potash mines in Catalonia.

Following an in-depth investigation opened on 26 January 2016, the European Commission found that the company, which was renamed ICL Iberia Súria & Sallent in 2014, had benefited from two unlawful measures.  The company was awarded a financial guarantee by the Spanish state to fulfil...
