The annual inflation rate stood at 1.3% and 1.5% respectively for the Eurozone and the European Union as a whole (EU 28) in July, according to the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat).
This means that the inflation rates have stabilised, as they are similar to those announced by Eurostat on 17 July for the month of June (see EUROPE 11831), when the annual inflation rate stood at 1.3% in the Eurozone and 1.4% in the EU 28. They are, however, considerably higher than in July...
