Monday 26 June

  • Brussels. Council of the EU. ‘Transport, Telecommunications and Energy’ Council. *Energy: - Adoption of the regulation on the energy efficiency labelling of household electrical appliances. – Raft of measures on clean energy: general orientation on the directive on the energy performance of buildings and the energy efficiency directive. – Examination of the progress report on the work on the legislative dossiers under the raft of clean energy measures (single electricity market, governance and energy produced from renewable sources). – Discussion on the inter-connection situation: - Latest developments in external relations in the field of energy and examination of the request for a negotiation mandate between the EU and Russia concerning the gas pipeline North Stream 2.
  • Brussels. European Parliament. Activities of the committees (to 29/06). – CONT: examination of the non-legislative report on controls and expenditure and monitoring the cost-efficiency ratio of the Youth Guarantee programmes. – DEVE: discussion on the management of tropical forests and exports of wood following a recent visit of members of the committee to Cameroon; - examination of a non-legislative report on the reduction of space for civil society in the developing countries and on the EU’s positions at the Development Assistance Committee of the OECD. – IMCO: discussion of the working group on the digital single market on the question of Internet access providers and the limited liability regime of the directive on e-commerce. – FEMM: public hearing on gender equality in the media sector. – LIBE: examination of the draft report of the mission that visited Athens and the hotspots in Greece at the end of May; examination of the situation of the relocation of migrants and implementation of the EU/Turkey agreement.

Tuesday 27 June

Wednesday 28 June

Weekly meeting of the College of Commissioners. – Reflection document on the future of the EU’s finances up to 2025. – Framework for an EU personal pension product. – European security agenda: follow-up of the work of the high-level group on information systems and interoperability and revision of the EU-LISA framework; modified proposal for a European Criminal Records Information System (ECRIS). – Eighth progress report on the Security Union.

  • Luxembourg. *Court of Justice of the EU. #Conclusions: C-329/16 (National syndicate of the medical technologies industry and Philips France – possibility for a member state to prohibit the sale of medical prescription software bearing CE labelling if it has not been awarded national certification).

Thursday 29 June
