19/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 19 June, the Danish health minister, Ellen Trane Nørby, was in Brussels to present her country’s application to host the European Medicines Agency (EMA) when the United Kingdom leaves the EU. Pressure is increasing with just a few days to go until the European summit, where the Commission is expected to reveal the revised criteria for defining the United Kingdom’s successor to host the EMA. So far, two groups of countries are in the running: those that want the future EMA HQ to be decided on the basis of objective criteria, and those that would like this to be on the basis of more political criteria. According to the information EUROPE has received, the official date for submitting applications is 31 July. (SPj)
