Axel Voss is new rapporteur on copyright reform

16/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – The name of the new rapporteur on the copyright directive is now known: Axel Voss (EPP, Germany), who is already a rapporteur on digital content.  He was one of the two candidates announced in EUROPE 11806. He will be responsible for leading negotiations on the basis of the report drafted by Therese Comodini Cachia.  He did, nonetheless, submit amendments to this report on a related right for newspaper publishers, which is also expected to help...
