01/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – On two Fridays per month, the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU of the second half of 2017 will hold a meeting of the 27 national ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) to discuss all matters related to the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. The aim is to allow the member states access to the same level of information and to discuss subjects stemming directly from Brexit, such as the relocation of the European agencies currently in the UK - the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Banking Authority (EBA). On this point, the Twenty-Seven will be called upon to agree on methodology at the June European summit, with a final decision of the 'General Affairs' Council hoped for by autumn. (MB)
