EU hails election of new government

On Thursday 1 June, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and European Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn hailed the election, by the Parliament of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) of the new government led by Zoran Zaev (Social Democrat).  Nikola Dimitrov, a career diplomat, becomes the minister for foreign affairs.
