In passing an opinion by Jan Huitema (ALDE, Netherlands), the European Parliament’s agriculture committee gave its backing on Tuesday 30 May to revision of the regulation on fertilisers so as to allow organic fertilisers to enter the market, offering farmers greater freedom of choice (see EUROPE 11799 and 11767).
