The EPP Group in the European Parliament put a proposal for a Union act to Parliament President Antonio Tajani on Monday 20 March calling for monitoring of foreign investment in EU strategic sectors. The goal is to have the issue discussed in the Parliament’s international trade committee and then for the European Commission to take over at the request of Parliament.
