17/03/2017 (Agence Europe) – The twenty two transport chain organisations which make up I AM (Industry Alliance for Multimodal), meeting in plenary session on Friday 17 March, agreed the priorities in multimodality, connectivity, logistics and growth. In the first instance, three main issues have been identified: - reducing air pollution (decarbonisation, NOx and sulphur emissions); - intermodality (combined transport directive, interoperability and inland waterways connections) - digitalisation (e-transport documents and the reporting formalities directive). The Alliance’s next plenary session will be in Amsterdam on 27-29 June. I AM was launched on 8 December 2016 and brings together 22 different transport mode organisations that have decided voluntarily to join forces to work together in order to develop a holistic approach in multimodal transport.
