Last General Affairs Council before triggering of Article 50 on withdrawing from EU

07/03/2017 (Agence Europe) – UK Minister of State at the Department for Exiting the European Union David Jones confirmed on Tuesday 7 March that the General Affairs Council meeting that same day would “of course” be “the last before the UK triggers the notice under the Article 50”, beginning the negotiations on his country’s withdrawal from the EU. “But so long as we are members of the EU, we intend to play a full part”, he added.
