10/02/2017 (Agence Europe) – With the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome fast approaching, the members of the Committee of the Regions adopted a resolution on Thursday 9 February on the future of the EU. The resolution sets out a raft of priorities on which the EU should focus: - easing the impact of globalisation; - improving the governance and management model of European funding; - decentralising communication on European policy; - increasing transparency in European decision making. The Committee confirmed its commitment to wide-ranging dialogue with the institutions, the report on which will probably be submitted to the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Council, in line with the request from the President of the European Council, in 2018.
