31/01/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 31 January, the European Parliament’s legal affairs committee approved the inter-institutional agreement on the shareholders’ rights directive, which seeks to increase the long-term shareholder engagement in listed companies (see EUROPE 11685). The text aims to bring greater transparency to companies’ investment strategies and remuneration policies.
