Should the European Network Information Security Agency (ENISA), which helps counter cyber-attacks, be modernised? This is the thrust of the question posed by the European Commission in a public consultation launched on 18 January.
It should be pointed out that ENISA was set up in 2004 for an initial period of five years. Since then, its mandate has been renewed twice and it currently applies for the 2013-20 period by way of European regulation 526/203.
