LIFE pilot project to involve young volunteers in Natura 2000

Assisting with nature conservation in Europe could be the start of careers for young Europeans aged 18-30, the European Commission believes. And the official launch of the European Solidary Corps on Wednesday 7 December was accompanied by an initiative on a pilot nature project (see EUROPE 11684 and 11624).

The Commission launched a “call for preparatory actions” for the deployment of European Solidary Corps volunteers to support the conservation of the pan-European Natura 2000 sites....
