08/11/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 8 November, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted without debate (with the abstention of the United Kingdom) its position on draft amending budget no. 4 for 2016 (see EUROPE 11650), with the effect of an increase of €225.4 million in commitment appropriations and a drop of €7.27 billion in payment appropriations (thereby taking the equivalent amount off the member states' contributions for the 2016 financial year). The European Parliament has still to adopt its position on this text. (LC)
