European Parliament celebrates 20th anniversary of European Voluntary Service

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. According to MEPs in a resolution adopted by a large majority on Thursday 27 October, the EVS is working well and should even be further strengthened.

The EVS helps young people aged between 17-30 take part in voluntary projects abroad for a period of between two weeks to twelve months. It covers Erasmus + and EU neighbourhood partnership countries. According to Commission figures, it has helped more than...
