Parliament draft report reaffirms goal of 30% renewables target by 2030

Brussels, 25/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - In a draft report on renewable energy prepared by Paloma Lopez Bermejo (GUE/NGL, Spain) that was adopted by a very narrow majority on Tuesday 24 May, the European Parliament's energy committee reaffirms its goal of a target exceeding 30% of renewables in the EU energy mix by 2030 and it stresses a number of points, including social, to stimulate the growth of green energy.
