EU calls on Sarajevo to continue work on reform

Brussels, 11/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - In their meetings in Strasbourg on Tuesday 10 May with Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini and European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn highlighted the importance of continuing work on reform.

In a press release, the European External Action Service (EEAS) stated that Mogherini and Hahn pointed to the need to maintain focus, to keep delivering reforms and to finalise, as soon as possible, the work on the adaptation of the stabilisation and association agreement after the accession of Croatia to the European Union and on the internal coordination mechanism on EU affairs (see EUROPE 11490).

During their meetings, Mogherini, Hahn and Zvizdic discussed Bosnia's progress on the EU path, which the EEAS press release stated was a result of the ongoing commitment to the reforms by the Council of Ministers under the leadership of Zvizdic, in line with the citizens demands and their support to the country's EU integration.
