Brussels, 09/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 5 May, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini called on Kosovo to energise implementation of the agreements concluded with Serbia as part of the EU-facilitated dialogue.
“We have to energise implementation of the agreements signed [with Serbia] - something that I believe it fundamental for the credibility of the process, and fundamental for the life of Kosovars”, she said at a press conference in Pristina with Kosovo's Prime Minister Isa Mustafa. Agreements were concluded as part of the dialogue in 2011, 2013 and 2015 (see EUROPE 10500, 10831 and 11375).
Mogherini underlined the fact that the dialogue had been created and was continuing for the benefit of Kosovo - and that it should continue that way. Whatever is decided must be implemented in the right way, beneficial for the people, and so that it might strengthen the country, its institutions and relations with the rest of the world, she said. “Dialogue is the way in which Kosovo can be strengthened day by day”, Mogherini added, saying that it was also a way to deepening Kosovo's EU integration.
