13/04/2016 (Agence Europe) - EP's get-go for using EGF in Sweden. On Wednesday 13 April, the European Parliament approved the earmarking of European Globalisation Adjustment Funds (EGF) for 500 workers made redundant by Volvo Trucks and its suppliers in Sweden (see EUROPE 11491). During the plenary session in Strasbourg, MEPs gave their support to this measure, which involves almost €1.8 million in spending and voted for it by 585 votes in favour, 82 against, with 7 abstentions.
