21/03/2016 (Agence Europe) - CCRE wants to include three points from CoR opinion on revision of the Multiannual Financial Framework. The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CCRE) says that it supports the position of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) of Friday 18 March, which follows a consultation organised on 16 March by the latter on the opinion relating to the mid-term review of the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). Nonetheless, it insisted that three points are added, namely: the question of the Growth and Stability Pact and its impact on local public funding, further integration of regional bodies and the CoR in the Commission's “better legislation” initiative and the inclusion of the urban agenda. The opinion seeks to strengthen the regional dimension of the MFF and is expected to be adopted on 16 June next by members of the CoR. (PH)
