Brussels, 03/03/2016 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 3 March, the European Commission announced that the European contribution to the Global Fund to fight so-called poverty diseases (tuberculosis, malaria and AIDS) would rise to €470 million for the 2017-2019 period.
This amount represents a 27% increase (or €100 million) compared with the EU's contribution for the 2014-2016 period (see EUROPE 10975) and marks the launch of the 2016 campaign for replenishing the fund.
