27/01/2016 (Agence Europe) - Cameron in Brussels on 29 January. Prime Minister David Cameron will travel to Brussels on Friday 29 January to meet European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker over lunch. The UK prime minister has cancelled a scheduled visit to Sweden and Denmark to be able to meet the two European leaders. With the European summit of 17 and 18 February to be devoted to the British question, the meeting of the three men is expected to concentrate on the draft agreement that Tusk said he was drafting for the start of February. Several European leaders, including Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Juncker, have expressed optimism in recent weeks on prospects for an agreement with Cameron. There remain difficult issues, however, they warned. The focus of the renegotiation is on migration and social benefits for European citizens in the United Kingdom, the closer integration of the eurozone, competitiveness and subsidiarity. (SP)
