Strasbourg, 26/01/2016 (Agence Europe) - Pedro Agramunt (European People's Party) from Spain was the only candidate for the post of President of the Parliamentary Assembly to the Council of Europe (PACE) and was subsequently elected on Monday 25 January, during the opening session of 2016. He therefore takes over from the Luxembourg liberal, Anne Brasseur, who has occupied this post since January 2014.
