Former MEP Jean-Charles Marchiani must pay back Parliament for three bogus jobs

Brussels, 19/01/2016 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 19 January, Melchior Wathelet, the Advocate General, suggested that the European Court of Justice throw out the appeal made by former French MEP Jean-Charles Marchiani and uphold the ruling by the EU General Court of 2014, which ordered him to pay back more than €100,000 to the EP (see EUROPE 11174).
