On Tuesday 24 November, the European Commission announced that it had approved the request to register two new protected geographical indications (PGIs) - “Mojama de Barbate” (tuna fillets in olive or sunflower oil) for Spain, and “l'échalote d'Anjou” (elongated pink shallots) for France. These two new appellations are added to 1,300 products that are already protected. (LC)
