19/11/2015 (Agence Europe) - Call for proposals on digital services. On Tuesday 17 November, the European Commission launched a new call for proposals for a total of €17 million in the framework of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). This call, which will be open until 15 March 2016, comes on top of a first call launched on 30 October for the amount of €39 million. This second call covers four different areas, in order of importance: (1) online health, improving patients' rights in the cross-border exchange of data (€7.5 million); (2) electronic identification, for the recognition and cross-border validation of electronic identities (€7 million); (3) online contract awards, leading to more transparent, more targeted and more efficient public passationexpenditure (€1.4 million euros); (4) online dispute settlement, reinforcing out-of-court alternatives (€1 million). The call for proposals is open to all member states, plus Iceland and Norway. (SPj)
