Brussels, 28/10/2015 (Agence Europe) - During a plenary vote on Tuesday 27 October, the European Parliament confirmed the position drafted by Marietje Schaake (ALDE, Netherlands), which was adopted in the international trade committee at the end of September, to strengthen the EU's 2005 rules banning the trade of equipment that can be used for torture. The way is now paved for negotiations with the Council of Ministers to finalise the revised legislative text.
