15/10/2015 (Agence Europe) - Bilateral meeting to take stock of fisheries agreement with EU two years after its implementation. The joint committee responsible for monitoring implementation of the EU-Morocco fisheries agreement is meeting in Brussels from Wednesday 14 to Friday 16 October. According to Moroccan media, it will be discussing results over the last year. An update will be given on the scientific meetings held in June and September, and the parties will address the practical modalities and technical aspects of fishing activity, as well as the implementation and programming of sectoral support, which was set at a similar meeting last year in September 2014. The objectives of the agreement include developing Morocco's national fishing sector. The current meeting will assess a series of projects aiming at this. (FB)
