12/10/2015 (Agence Europe) - EIB supports green project funding in Turkey. On Tuesday, 6 October, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed an agreement with the Ýller Bankasi A.Þ. (Ýlbank) for € 250 million for financing “green” municipal infrastructure projects. This funding will be invested in schemes in the public transport, water and waste sectors throughout Turkey. Ilbank is accountable to the Turkish Department for the Environment and Urbanism and supports the municipalities in these projects by providing them with access to funding and technical advice. The financial envelope of €250 million will come from the EU's pre-accession aid instrument. (EH)
