21/09/2015 (Agence Europe) - ETUC presents its future management team. On Monday 21 September, the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) unveiled the names of the candidates for the management posts that will be voted on for approval at the 13th ETUC Congress in Paris on 29 September-2 October. One candidate is being considered for each post. The Secretary General of the ETUC, Bernadette Ségol, is expected to be replaced by Luca Visentini from Italy, while Rudy De Leeuw from Belgium is expected to take over from Ignacio Fernández Toxo from Spain for the post of President of the Union Confederation. Visentini is expected to be helped by two deputies, Veronica Nilsson (Sweden) and Peter Scherrer (Germany). In addition, four Confederal Secretaries are expected to be elected: Liina Carr (Estonia), Esther Lynch (Ireland), Monserrat Mir Roca (Spain) and Thiébaut Weber (France). (JK)
