09/07/2015 (Agence Europe) - Commission simplifies reimbursement of projects financed by Youth Employment Initiative. On Thursday 9 July, the European Commission adopted a regulation aiming to define its standard scales of unit costs and lump sums for the reimbursement of expenditure by the Commission to member states as part of the Youth Employment Initiative (EYI) (see EUROPE 11305). France and Sweden will be the first to benefit from this. These two member states should therefore notice “a significant reduction in red tape (…) and an important saving on valuable resources, affecting all partners and NGOs”, the Commission states. In France, for example, the reimbursable unit cost has been set at €3,600 for each participant. (JK)
