15/06/2015 (Agence Europe) - Stanishev re-relected as PSE leader. On Friday 12 June, the former prime minister of Bulgaria, Sergei Stanishev, was re-elected as leader of the Party of European Socialists (PSE) after the other candidate, Enrique Baron Crespo from Spain, withdrew from the leadership race. Jean-Christophe Cambadélis from France (PS), Carin Jämtin from Sweden (SAP), Katarina Nevedalova from Slovakia (SMER-SD) and Jan Royal from the UK (Labour) were elected as deputy leaders at the PSE congress in Budapest. Achim Post maintained his post of deputy leader. (MB)
