Brussels, 15/06/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 9 June, the general secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (Businessmed) signed a collaboration agreement which, according to a press release, aims to “support the development of the business community” in the Mediterranean. Action will focus on micro-enterprises and on small and medium-sized enterprises - which represent “90% of current enterprises” in the UfM countries, the press release states. “Specific activities” will be developed by the two organisations to create “an investment-friendly environment and to favour private sector initiatives that contribute to stable, sustainable and long-term economic growth” in the region.
