09/06/2015 (Agence Europe) - No court case for Romania's Victor Ponta. On Tuesday 9 June, the Romanian parliament rejected a request from the national anti-corruption prosecution office (DNA) to take its Prime Minister Victor Ponta to court on allegations of corruption. The parliamentarians rejected the request from the national anti-corruption prosecution office by 231 votes, while 120 said they were in favour of lifting immunity. “This is proof of the utmost irresponsibility and of defiance in the face of the citizens”, said Conservative President Klaus Iohannis.
