Brussels, 28/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - Four organisations representing the rights of artists, actors and musicians, have launched a campaign to defend fair remuneration for online performers, as part of the European Commission's copyright revision initiative.
The “Fair Internet Campaign” brings together the (Aepo Artis) Association of European Performers' Organisation, (FIA) International Federation of Actors, (FIM) International Federation of Musicians and the (IAO) International Artists Organisations. The campaign will be officially launched on 5 May. Campaign leaders denounce the fact that most performing artists do not receive decent pay when their work is used online. (Isabelle Lamberty)
