Brussels, 13/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - A coordination meeting bringing together all the judicial and police authorities involved in the investigation into the crash of the Germanwings Airbus A320 took place at Eurojust headquarters in The Hague on Friday 10 April (see EUROPE 11281), attended by representatives of France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Eurojust says that the meeting took stock of the on-going investigation and also enabled the magistrates and investigators involved in the case to make useful contacts at operational level and to share information. All matters regarding judicial cooperation, identification of victims and welfare concerns relating to support of the victims' relatives were discussed.
Eurojust points out that some 200 coordination meetings on various investigations take place every year. (Jean Comte)
