Brussels, 19/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has asked the plaintiffs in the 'Google' dossier their permission to allow the online search giant access to the documents and evidence they have submitted to the Commission, Bloomberg reports. One of the plaintiffs has confirmed this information to EUROPE. According to this source, the request may not mean anything, but it could also indicate that the Commission is preparing a statement of objections against Google. The search engine has been under investigation by the Commission for several years for abuse of dominant position. Three sets of proposed commitments submitted by it have been rejected by the Commission, although it was not a long way from accepting the latest raft of commitments proposed by the giant from Mountain View. A number of observers believe that the Commission could budge before the summer. A Commission source told us that there is no progress on any timetable. The Competition Commissioner, Margrethe Vestager, met representatives of Google at the start of this month. (Elodie Lamer)
